Volume 52

It is hard to know the truth in our worldas it can be distorted. There is fake news, disinformation, misinformation and sometimes we just don’t know the truth because we haven’t listened well.

Ideally, when we hear something new, we should stop and investigate the source. All the stories in this magazine reference the Bible –the source of truth. We want you to see clearly and not a distortion.

There are a few key pieces of information that we hope the articles in this magazine will help you to see clearly.

  • We want you to know the truth that God’s love is serious. He wants you! God sees us: He sees our actions, our words and our thoughts but He still loves us. He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to be the ‘Bridge to Life’ for us.
  • We have a responsibility before God. He wants to have a relationship with you. He has given His Son to take care of the burden of your sin so that there is no impediment to that relationship. The Bible says that God is, “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
  • We want you to be sure that you have the real thing and not just a façade of being a Christian. Do you see a definite time that you were adopted into God’s family?
  • We want to know what is true. Frightening events scroll across our screens and spill into our lives. But we don’t need to fear. The One who sees all things clearly, holds the future in His hands.
  • We want you to know that God makes all the difference in each situation we face.

Hopefully you find spiritual helpinreading this magazine. If you have any unanswered questions,be sure to write to us. We will do our best to answer clearly

My Testimony – Anderson Hernandez

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (John 5:24).

With the words of this Bible verse ringing in my ears, I was saved on January 23, 1995. I found pardon for my sins by faith in the work at Calvary. But how did I arrive at this point in my story?

Seeing clearly

your reflection (or someone else’s!)
and laugh at how it makes you look unnaturally tall and thin. Then you go to the next mirror, and you look like someone has tried to flatten you. A curve in the glass turns the reflection into a crazy version of reality.

Death under the bridge

It was evening in the great city of Guadalajara, Mexico when my brother eased our van to a halt on the six-lane perimeter highway. Soon we saw the reason for the stopped traffic: an ambulance, and a form lying still on the asphalt, covered by a sheet. The young man had tried to run

Wishing you the very best

The best things in life still come without a price tag. A millionaire can’t write a cheque for happiness. A celebrity can’t buy peace of mind with her credit card. Even a king can’t order his subjects to love him.
