“Jesus Loves Me” is perhaps the bestknown Gospel song in the world especially to children. You have probably sung it many times, but have you ever paid attention to what it says? Do you believe it? Have you trusted Jesus as Saviour?
Jesus loves me, this I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak but He is strong.
Jesus loves you more than anybody else ever has, or ever will. We know it is true, because the Bible says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13). Jesus, the one who had power to create the world, died for the sins of the world.
When the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again three days later, He opened the way to Heaven that was closed to us because of all the wrong things we do. Now He wants us to come.
Some people might stop loving us when we do wrong things, but Jesus loves even the worst sinner in the world, and wants everyone to come to Him for salvation.
Even after people had made fun of Jesus, beaten Him, pushed a crown made out of thorns into His head, and nailed His hands and feet to a cross, He looked at them in love and said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34).
Jesus loves me, He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
If I trust Him, by and by,
He will take me home on high.
When you trust the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, He washes away your sin and promises that you will live forever with Him in Heaven. Until then, He will be your closest friend, never leaving you. By living your life for Jesus, and by reading your Bible and praying, He will give you the richest blessings and truest happiness that you could ever have. Plus, when hard times come, He will be right there to help you through them.
