“I acknowledge my sin unto Thee… I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;’ and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin” (Psalm 32:5).
Salvation is not a complex thing. It is a simple yet profound faith in Christ. It is more, however, than a casual inviting of Jesus into the heart. Salvation follows a consciousness of sin, and sinfulness. It is an awareness that God’s standard has not been met and a sense, therefore, of deserving His punishment for eternity. There must be an honest confession of sin followed by faith in Christ. Then come Divine forgiveness, spiritual rebirth, and a new life in Christ.
